When Should I Take My Kids to the Pediatric Dentist?

I like to start seeing kids in my office when they’re three years old. At that time, they can sit in the chair and they generally do just fine. I check their baby teeth for cavities and fill any that I find because, like adult teeth, baby teeth can develop abscesses. Once their permanent teeth come in, we can put sealants which help reduce cavities, on their back teeth. Just like adults, children should be seen by their dentist once every six months.

If your children are younger than three years old and they develop some sort of dental problem, I recommend taking them to a pediatric dentist in Syracuse. If your children are older than three years, bring them in to Eastwood Dental. All of our staff love children here at Eastwood Dental and are committed to providing quality care and a cheerful environment for them.
